>We do the following eye screening tests for children:
  • Refraction (power)
  • Cover Test (squint eye)
  • Ocular Motility (eye muscle coordination)
  • Stereopsis (3D vision)
  • Colour Vision
  • Slit Lamp examination (anterior eye health-eyelids, cornea, etc)
  • Ophthalmoscopy (retina health)

We have a different vision as compared to other optical shop. We believe in giving the best personal attention and eye service to our client that is why, we concentrate only on one outlet and only employ responsible and experienced optometrists.

Our mission is to help you to see better & improve your eyesight, and if the patient or customer is better off with other means (refractive surgery), we will refer them to the opthalmology.

Emmetropia (Normal Eye)
This is when images are focused onto the retina and the vision does not need spectacles or contact lenses correction.

Myopia (Short-sightedness or Near Sightedness)
When the images are focused in front of the retina, it will cause a blurred image. This is known as Myopia or Short Sighted.

Hypermetropia (Far-sightedness or Long-Sightedness)
In this condition the images are focused behind the retina, resulting in a blurred image.

Long-sightedness is often mistaken with those who need reading glasses due to aging problem.

Astigmatism
One of the reasons is that the cornea is not symmetrically resulting in images that are blurred or distorted. City Optics provides astigmatism contact lens and lenses.

Presbyopia
This is a result of aging. It occurs when the eye gradually loses its ability to bring focus close objects. The onset begins around age 40.
